Tic tacking keys of the keyboard clacked awkwardly

and without rhythm. She let her fingers rest on the spacebar

while she daydreamed casually and without guilt.

The screen of her phone flicked from text to text, boredly

Somewhere there was a door at the back of the room, ajar

And waiting for her to jump up from the life she built.
